Micro Rain - Pride in Ownership
When you purchase a new MICRO RAIN for all of the advantages, which are presented, remember one thing. While it is of little value other than on trade-in, we take pride that the MICRO RAIN even looks good after you purchase it. We simply call it "Pride of ownership"

Home use

Micro Rain Model Selection
For the proper selection of a MICRO RAIN you must know the dimensions of the area you want to irrigate. Then if you know the amount of water in gallons per minute and pressure you can deliver, you can use the performance summary on the back page to choose your MICRO RAIN. Your dealer would also be happy to assist in this selection.

Before you buy . . . LOOK UNDER THE HOOD!
Look under the hood
Chassis 1) Chassis:
3-wheel design provides a stable base and easy to tow behind small powered vehicles and room for mounting boost pumps.
Hitch 2) Hitch:
Heavy duty design with strong hinge points and doubles as the anchor or stablizer when raised in operating position. One part number serves two functions.
Drum Gear 3) Drum gear:
Heavy duty drive gear is bolted to the reel so if the need ever arises, it can be replaced with simple tools. No need for a cutting torch and welder.
Levelwind 4) Levelwind:
Scoll levelwind wraps tube accurately on the reel as the machine operates. No chains or gearboxes.
shutoff 5)Shutoff:
Micro Rain were all designed with mechanical water shutoffs. These creative shutoffs eliminate the tubes, filters, valves act6uating devices normally associated with traveler shutoffs.
cart lift 6)Cart lift:
A one-piece hanger in incorporated as part of the sprinkler cart to easily hang the cart on the machine. The MR 50, 58, and 63 cart lifts automatically onto the machine at the end of the run.

7)Cart tires:
3-wheel design provides a stable base and easy to tow behind small powered vehicles and room for mounting boost pumps.

8)Rear Wheels:
Sealed bearings with wide turf tires. Eliminates the need to grease on a regular basis. Turf tires provide proper support to help keep machine from rutting in soft or wet soils.

9)PTO Rewind:
Used to make small adjustments or to wind machine up if the need arises to service or if fiels is wet.

10) Micro Rain - Turbine Drive
At the forefront of our technology is the unique MICRO RAIN turbine. In 1998 the MICRO RAIN engineers designed a turbine which revolutionized small traveler irrigation. Efficient and smooth power is developed as water flows past the fins of the turbine which in turn powers a direct mounted gearbox driving the reel. All of the water used by the turbine stays in the system and no water is dumped by the machine. WE are proud of the simplicity of this turbine design. It has proven to be a rugged and dependable solution for powering small traveling sprinklers. The complete MICRO RAIN line of travelers are turbine powered.

11) Chain cover:
Levelwind chain cover completely wraps the chain reducing exposure to rain, dust and hard water being pumped. This increases the longevity of the chain and reduces maintenance.

Booster Pump
Booster pumps can be utilized with any of our Micro Rain sprinklers. The reason for adding booster pumps may be for increasing distance of sprinkler throw or increasing the gallons per minute of a machines capability. An example would be: using a 5HP onboard booster to water a football field in one pass.
Honda pullstart Fueltank Portable booster pump
5 HP or 9 HP Honda Pull start standard (electric start optional) 7 gallon non-corrosive fuel tank with wide mouth opening for easy fill. 1HP portable electric booster pump for MR 25 and MR 32
